I believe creating a safe and trusting space so children can feel comfortable and supported in therapy. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy to help children acquire the skills to handle life’s challenges and replace undesirable traits with positive ones.
I am empathic and understanding by nature and that is why I became a school counselor and child therapist.
I have helped children and adolescents deal with self image issues, peer troubles, career counseling, bereavement, anxiety, depression and adjusting to life after a divorce.
My MS is from Saint John’s University (an CACREP accredited program) and my BA is from the University of South Carolina. I am also a member of the American Counselor Association (ACA).
