(They/Them)
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Connecticut. I received my bachelors degree in philosophy at Seton Hall University and my masters at Southern State University in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
I work extensively with LGBTQ+ clients and their allies, as I hold several queer identities myself. Working with the queer community on trauma is one of my specialties. Understanding how trauma of all sorts affects marginalized people, finding queer joy and community as well as the unique intersection of neurodivergence in this community is a true joy for me.
I also work as a licensed sexual assault crisis counselor and have done so for the last 7 years. I also am currently the Assistant Director of the Hartford County Sexual Assault Crisis Center, where I have developed my specialty in trauma and sexual/domestic violence.
I feel the client will always know themselves better than any professional. I believe it is my job to be a guide for you to find your own ability to care for yourself–your genuine self. I always strive to understand a client through a lens of intersectionality and am very sensitive to diagnosis, wanting to work collaboratively with my clients rather than assigning them labels.
