As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 17 years of experience, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals through various mental health challenges. My extensive background includes working in diverse settings and with a wide range of diagnoses. My passion lies in treating anxiety, depression and life adjustment disorders.
Life can often be unpredictable, presenting us with challenges that feel overwhelming and confusing. I believe that while we may not always have the tools to manage these curveballs initially, we can develop the skills necessary to navigate them effectively. My approach centers on the belief that most problems are solvable and that emotions, however, intense, are temporary. There is always hope for better days ahead.
In my practice, I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) alongside solution-focused and strength-based frameworks. This combination aims to strengthen clients’ skills, helping them manage intense emotions, overcome daily struggles and lead meaningful lives. A key component of my approach is assisting clients in changing maladaptive thinking patterns to more helpful ways of viewing themselves and the world around them.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from Southern Connecticut State University and a Master’s degree in Social Work from Fordham University. My professional journey includes extensive experience in in-home services, group homes, residential placements and outpatient therapy settings.
