Feeling sad, anxious, or overwhelmed can be distressing. Changes can bring uncertainty about the next, best step. Life stressors – including family conflicts, financial problems, divorce, death of a loved one, loss of employment, or a crisis – can feel isolating and may bring up painful past experiences. When we feel supported, we are better able to find balance while juggling life’s responsibilities and challenges. Therapy creates the space to see new opportunities for living a more purpose-filled and authentic life.
Our work together will be strengths-based and solution-focused and will include strategies to remain present, grounded, and connected. My trauma-informed therapeutic approach includes reframing negative thoughts, understanding relationship patterns, and replacing unhelpful behaviors with methods for healthy coping and resilience. With empathy, I will provide support, feedback, and encouragement on your journey of empowerment, healing, and wholehearted living.
I received my Master in Social Work from Sacred Heart University and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker in the State of Connecticut. I have experience working with individuals recovering from addiction, healing from trauma, and experiencing anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I also have experience working with individuals who have co-occurring diagnoses.
