Have you ever asked yourself: 'Why do I feel stuck?', 'Why am I reacting so strongly to this situation?', or 'Why do I keep doing the thing I don’t want to do?' If you have, I would be honored to help you explore those 'why' questions as well as their underlying causes and treatment.
Our work together will begin by recognizing your strengths as well as identifying areas for growth. My trauma-informed therapeutic approach involves a variety of techniques including reframing negative thoughts, understanding relationship patterns, increasing awareness of activation and shutdown states, and replacing unhelpful behaviors with healthy coping mechanisms and resilience skills. Throughout your therapeutic journey, I will offer support, feedback, insight, and encouragement.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Sacred Heart University and currently hold licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Connecticut. As a fully trained Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) clinician, I specialize in working with adults who are healing from both complex and single-incident trauma, addiction, anxiety, depression and potential personality and/or dissociative disorders. I also have extensive experience assisting individuals with dual (co-occurring) diagnoses.
