I am dedicated to offering a compassionate and devoted attitude while providing a therapeutic rapport in which I can effectively and safely meet the needs of clients. With over 20 years experience in the mental health field, I have worked in a vast array of settings including outpatient and inpatient. Received a B. An in Psychology from Bennett College in North Carolina and eventually an M.A in Psychology from Southern CT State University in New Haven, CT. Years later, with an interest in providing physical care in addition to mental care, I achieved a Nursing degree from New England Institute of Technology in Rhode Island and eventually an M.S in Nursing from University of Saint Joseph in West Hartford, CT. I am ANCC Board Certified as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.
Certified across the lifespan with a focus on adults,18 years old and over, I have treated numerous psychiatric disorders including anxiety, depression, PTSD, acute sleep disturbances, substance abuse and Schizophrenia. I work closely with my clients to achieve appropriate desired effectiveness.
