I believe in a person-first approach. I work to see clients for who they are as opposed to an issue or a diagnosis they may be struggling with. I work with teens and adults to help them feel empowered in their own lives and draw on techniques from cognitive behavioral (CBT), mindfulness-based and solution-focused therapies. I use a strengths-based approach to help clients to add perspective and humor into their lives.
Outside of the office, I spend most of my time outside on a snowboard, bike, kayak, or adventuring off-trail with my dog. I love to travel, drink good Chai and I always see life as an adventure.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Social Work from SUNY Plattsburgh (New York) and a Master's degree in Social Work from Fordham University. In addition to being a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Colorado, I have over ten years of experience in outdoor education and adventure-based counseling.
